A Festival of Fancy and Folly - A popular local county tradition based on an old folk story. Considered a particularly auspicious day to announce engagements, since it is said that due to all the games being played as part of the festival, the devil is too distracted to interfere with the engagements! It is an ideal day for work on theatrical productions or for people to exhibit their talents. The event is being hosted by Miss Lucy Radcliffe, the new lady of Fairfield Park.

There will be a chance for formal exhibitions, a meeting of the historical society, and of course, the ever-popular Dance of Folly and Dance of Fancy, where the attendees will cast ballots for each single person for their worst possible match (for the Dance of Folly) and their best possible match (the Dance of Fancy). A joyous, merry event every year.
